    Hydraulick oil for tilt/ trim 1996 75 HP Merc

    I accidently lost about 20% of existing oil. It is red so I'm guessing power steering fluid is in there now. Should I just add more power steering fluid or is there something better? Easy enough to drain and replace all if necessary. Thanks, in advance, for all replies.

    What gets shorted to create a kill switch? I just use the pull rope for my elec start. i HAVE TO PUT MOTOR IN LOWEST SPEED, PULL OUT THE CHOKE AND PUSH it back in (usually twice) to get it to stop running.. Where would wires go to create a kill switch for it? Thnks, in advance, for replies.

    Regarding Pennzoil 80w90 Marine grade gear lube. I have a 1976 25 hp 2 stroke Johnson, a 1997 75 hp 2 stroke Mercury and a 1982 10 hp Honda 4 stroke. Is quality OK for these lower units? General maintenance time.
