    30 HP carburetor replacement

    I have a 1990 CV30ELD 30HP engine that needs a new carb and yamaha has discontinued the part 689-14301-73-00. My mechanic tells me that it appears that it is not in shape to be rebuilt. Any suggestions as to where to go for used parts or other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!!

    Merc 20 hp id

    I recently aquired a Merc 20 hp serial # 2831027. I think it is from the 70's, has not been run in a couple of years, but did run well before that. I need to get a manual for this engine to determine if it will be a keeper or not. Any help appreciated.

    engine id on 25 Johnson

    Can anyone help with id on 25 johnson? Thanks to OBJ I knew where to look. There is no id plate on the port side of the transom, the plug in starboard side of the engine block contains the number G3178236 and no other info. Thanks for the help.

    Location of model #, serial #

    I recently purchased a used boat with a johnson 25 hp engine. As the engine was painted camo, I am looking for where I would find model # and serial # infomation on the engine. Engine runs pretty good, but will need the info for future reference.<br /><br />Thanks for the help!
