    Wasn’t sure where to post.

    I have a 12’ aluminum V hull. I have a 9.9 four stroke. Being a senior in my 70’s I find the motor heavy. The boat is rated for a 5-7.5 hp. Thinking of down sizing to a Mercury 6 hp. Fishing in a lake not far to my fishing spots. Should I be ok with that size motor. Thanks Bryan.

    I now have a Zodiac 340 solid. I'm purchasing a new 15 hp merc. If I get the chance to get a 14 ft aluminum boat. Will the 15 hp be ok for wifey and I. Will i have trouble getting on plane. Thanks, Bryan.

    Zodiac w a 9.9hp?

    My dreams of getting my new 15 hp merc for my zodiac 340 solid is down the drain for now..lol. Anyways my son-in-law has offer me a 2006 Honda 9.9. for free but needs work. Short shaft, needs vertical and prop shafts. Just wondering, after repairs how this would work on my Zodiac. Thanks, Bryan.

    Just wondering if anyone has purchased the long vertical shaft and the prop shaft. Cant seem to find any thing around where I live here in eastern Canada. If I go to the dealer, I know I'm going to get gouged to the hilt.

    Motor mounting cart

    Sure this has been brought up before. I'm looking for a cart to move the motor from the cart to the transom of my Zodiac 340 solid. The new 15 hp Merc weights 100 lbs..a little heavy for this 70 year old..just wondering if there was something on the market or DYI. Thanks Bryan

    Being a senior..I'm looking for a replacement motor and was thinking a new mercury 9.9 hp. Being on retirement budget...its says on the spec plate on the zodiac it will take a 20 hp well the 15 and 20 merc weight over 100 lbs..while the 9.9 is 80 some lbs.
