    Johnson 4hp model year help please.

    I am going to look at a Johnson 4.0 Deluxe in the morning. The seller does not know what year it is but said the model number is 4588-CEC. I couldn't find it online at the website I know about. Can anyone help me out? Does that number seem incorrect? Thanks!

    Oil Alarm question

    I have a 1988 Johnson 70hp VRO on my new to me Whaler. The oil alarm is under the console and one of the wires was unplugged. I plugged it back in and now the alarm buzzes non-stop when the key is turned on. Any suggestions? Many thanks!
