First off i am doing alternator upgrade also. The wiring issue is that I have a red/purple wire that goes to circuit breaker and is spliced going to regulator ...
I did a rebuild on a 470 Was wondering if anybody has ever swapped out the generator/alt. that is on the crankshaft and put in a harmonic balancer and a belt drive alt. on one?
I have been told that those alt. are not that reliable, so don't know why it wouldn't work.
Any help with this would...
