    Mercury Classic 50 45 hp year identification

    I recently purchased classic 50 45hp motor and I’m trying to figure out what year it is. The serial number plaque is long gone I found the stamp on the engine and the number is s/n 6421111 I was hoping someone can tell me what year it is.
