    Upgrading a 91 Johnson J50JEIA 50hp to 92 E55RWLENM 55hp carbs. The old 50hp bowls are plugged. The new lower carb has an extra fuel nipple (#22) facing the air box (it clears below). What is this supposed to connect to?

    Johnson 50/35 Jet 5000 RPM at WOT

    I have a 91 Johnson 50/35 on a 14’ river runner. It takes longer to get on a plane than I would like. At WOT it runs 5000 rpm whether accelerating or on a full plane. The throttle stop is set so the intake is wide open. I think the holeshot would be faster if I could get rpm’s up to 5300-5500...

    Convert Jet Non-Flanged Liner to Flanged Liner

    I have a 91 Johnson J50JEIA with model AF jet. The jet has a non-flanged liner. Ordered a new liner from outboard jets and I can’t get it to seat far enough to insert bolts no matter how hard I hit with a mallet. It’s 1/16” to 1/8” off. The hole seems to be in a slightly different spot too...
