    did a carb kit and still a poor low speed performance

    problem with low speed adjuster

    86 model 25 hp-put in carb kit(pulled welch plugs)but if I turn adjuster all the way in and back out one turn-idles ok. But in order to speed up idle-I have to turn screw IN-not out(dies if backed out any more). What could be the problem? Adjuster had a small groove in it so I sanded it out...

    carb kit didn't fix-- what next?

    86 johnson 25 hp-- I get poor perfomance(maybe a miss??) in low speeds, idles fine and runs great at WOT. Once the butterfly starts opening its ok. Link & sink next? Did a search and could't bring it up.

    is carb kit short a part? 86 johnson 25hp

    Got my carb off and disassembled-only found one obvious problem. The tip of the slow speed adjustment needle has a small wear spot on one side-the carb jkit looks correct but doesnt have a new tip. Why? Where can I get one? Isn't it useless to reassemble without this being replaced?
