    Pre-Alpha to Alpha

    I have a 1981 140HP merc with a pre-Alpha out drive, 5874902-198R, and its shot. The vertical and prop drive shafts are seriously worn where the seals ride on the shaft.....In my local paper there is a used Alpha 1 drive, Will it work in place of the pre-Alpha? I striped down the old unit...

    I'm looking to purchase the tools to Disassemble my drive. Pre Alpha, 5874902-198R 140 Merc, 1981. I've looked on this web site but I can't seem to locate them. Can any body put me in the right direction, Part#s, anything...Thanks

    Pre Alpha drive tools

    My drive #5874902-198R I'm looking for the repair tools... the gears are good but the bearings are rusted, does any body know the part#s or where I can get them?
