    Reading some of these post has made me realize that I spent money on a pair of motors that need alot of work.Its true that you get what you pay for.I though I was getting a good deal, guess if it sounds too good to be true!!

    New switch boxes Ran the quit again!!!!!

    I had no spark so put a spare inner switch box on and I had spark to 3cyl.Then I took the outer off my other motor and put it on and I had all 6 going.When it was running the idle was very high and then it quit again.Back to square one,no spark!!!1988 Merc200hp ser#62448-9 Please if anyone has...

    Switch Boxes

    Is there a way to test the switch boxes on a 88 merc200hp? And is it possible not to have a kill switch? Thanks for any help.

    What should I check first?

    I have a 1988 Merc200 Ser# 624489 No spark at the plugs.I checked the ohms and the only reading I get is on the red lead (150) and the red/white lead (151).When I checked between the blue and red nothing and the same for blue/white and red/white.I would hate to buy a 165.00 stator and that not...
