I have a 1978 70hp Mercury. Went out this morning' The engine ran fine for about a 1/2 hour then would not start. After about 15min it started but once I put it in gear it stalled. Same thing about 3 times then would not start at all. It will crank but will not start.<br />Any suggestions on...
I have a 78 Mercury 70hp. Starts up and after it gets going it looses prime. replaced fuel pump, fuel lines, cleaned carb & check valves and still doing it. Can anyone help?
I have a 1977 70hp mercury. Starts with no problem but once it gets going it starts to lose prime and stall. If I pump the primer ball it starts to go again. Replaced fuel pump and all the fuel lines and checked them. Everything seems ok. Any one have any suggestions?

I installed a new harness on a 1978 70hp merc. The engine cranks but has no spark. also replaced the stador, trigger, rectfier, coils & swithbox. Also the mercury switch checked out OK. <br />Please help
