    Rpm gauge not working on 175hp

    Ok, not sure what to do and whether this is a problem with the motor or boat. Anyway, my gauge is showing like 5500 rpm with the motor off. It doesn't move with the motor running either. Is this a gauge problem or do you think the motor may have a problem? My dealer has one for like $90.00...
