1997 GP1200 and WB760 - both need starting spray the first time of day

The starting spray has the upper cylinder oil added to it. FYI If they sit for more than day (with battery charger on) and I try to start them by pulling the choke, I can crank and crank and crank they won't start. but if I do a quick squirt of spray they start right up and stay running. I'm...

What is this SeadDoo Mpep and dress key I am seeing some needing?

looking at some older PWC and some seadoos are requiring a MPEP...$1500+ new!?!?!?! What I don't get is if the motors I'm looking at are 2-stroke carbed, where does a computer enter the equation? What is this 'dress key" I keep seeing being sold with used ones?

    another one - kawasaki 2003 1100 zx1.....thoughts?

I see parts are still available...and full upper piston set is about $250 for all three...that's reasonable to me. Do they do the 'jug' thing like yamaha? Same kind of power valve thingy?

thoughts of 2013 Polaris Genesis with trailer BUT 'cracked piston' for sale.

I know nothing of this PWC, but I am very handy mechanically. The owner doesn't sound like she knows a lot about the vehicle and is just selling the trailer with a free PWC on top of it...she was told it had a cracked piston....I assume they mean a cracked head. the price of the trailer is...

Just curious on tips and tricks for hopping up an old 225 hp V6 (1986)

I've been talking to guy who hops up a FICHT 3.3L and converts them to carb... Stage 1 is just converting to carb, but stage 3 is taking the connecting rods and crank from the old V6 and new pistons, and old V6 heads and a bunch of porting... I heard that taking a 1993 and newer v6 carbs to the...

looking for someone here who has the 1999 or newer Johnson 150 and higher, carbed manual to either take a photo of or write down the testing procedures of the OMS oil consumption test. My manual is for 1986 motor and suspect that the instructions were for the VRO back THEN which varied the...

1986 225 hp - what would make the potting of a coil melt?

I may have several issues at the same time. Normally the motor at WOT runs at 5800 rpm and jumps on plane in <4 seconds. (as recently as two weeks ago). what I have done since then is a whole thread on the VRO's oil mechanism and test on the assembly. So that assembly has been taken apart to...
