In heavy current or load the RPMS shoot up, Similar to a transmision slipping. Once i bring the RPM's down the motor engages and runs fine. But i can never get the benifit of the motor, due to it can only be ran @ mid throttle.<br /><br />I also have a Merc. 9HP w/ the same condition. Some luck...
