    I want to buy a new 2 stroke in the 150hp range. Nearest dealer is Mercury in fact the 4 nearest are Mercury, any where from 10 to 125 miles away. The nearest E-Tec dealer is 275 miles away. Any opinions?

    '89 yamaha 115etxf compression test ????

    I was doing a comp. test, did cyl's 1,2 & 3, all were 100 #. Now the wierd thing cyl 4 was 102# but the starter would disengage after 3 or 4 revolutions, did it twice, the others would stay engaged untill I released the key. Any ideas? thanks Jerry

    1989 yamaha 115 hp oil pump

    I think my old Seloc manual may be wrong. The oil lines on my motor where they connect to the pump do not correspond with the picture on page 5-18. The pumping order on my motor is 1 - 4 - 3 - 2. The book shows 1 - 2 - 4 - 3. Does any one have a "REAL" yamaha manual? Thanks

    1976 OLYMPIC of Marysville,Wa.

    Does any one out there have a 19' Olympic [ besides me ]? If some one does, I need info off of the USCG decal. I have rebuilt mine and would like to create a new plate. The original decal was trash and not legible. Max HP ,Persons , Motor, gear, etc. is what I need. Thanks

    long distance boat haul

    Some time in the future I will be towing a 20' boat with a 115 yamaha 2200 miles, trailer is a single axle roller type. I will take my time and stay under posted speeds, 4 day trip.     lower unit has water in it

    I started out today to run my f9.9mlhs yamaha on the muffs. Well, the lower unit lube was pure at the beginning of the session and 10 minutes later when done I decided to check the fluid,- - - the gear case had water in it . How did it get in there?

    location of water separator/fuel filter

    How much above the fuel pump of my 115hp Yamaha can I place the filter? I need to relocate the one I have now. It is too difficult to service. I would like to get it out of the bilge and place it in the motor well.

    halibut in the san juans

    1989 115hp yamaha power head temp.

    I replaced the thermo. on both heads and ran the motor for a bit. The port bank is about 125* and the starboard bank feels like a room temp beer.
