    cant find numbers on my new johnson 60hp

    ok, all i cant find any numbers that i would consider the serial# the only thing i can give your guys is that it says "VRO 60" on the back of the motor cover. and its a johnson. if someone could tell me where the numbers are so i can find out fuel mix and year, that would be great. thanks.

    boat planes out sometimes...

    sometimes my little 59 35hp seaking pushing my 1959 gale seaking v hull boat 15' will plane out no problem, and the boat will do 20mph easy. but then other times, when the water is a little choppier, the boat will only do about 13-14mph and wont plane out. <br /><br />my question is... would one...

    59 seaking fuel knobs???

    on the front of my 35hp there are two knobs, one that says slow speed and one that says high speed, i believe that by turning them, you adjust the abount of fuel that goes into the carb... the problem used to be that the knobs would turn themselves loose from vibration, but i used rubber bands...

    i have a 59 35hp gale seaking... i am getting ready to go to the lake. i have posted before about lower unit taking on water... now it only leaks behind the prop... can any one tell me how to replace what ever seal is down there? and how hard it might be, and do i have to take the lower unit...

    old 5.5hp that runs great till in gear...

    i got this old johnson evinrude 5.5 out board, i took the carb apart and cleaned it all out, changed spark plugs, then changed out oil in shaft with kit from walmart...<br />it ran great. i was using an old tank that came with it, the one with the air and gas lines to it. i took it to lake it...
