    Shifting into gear?

    HI all, took my boat out today...has a 200MR 89' engine. I was going along nicely when all of a sudden the boat slows. Engine runs fine, throttles o.k..nice and smooth just as soon as i push it into gear the revs go up but doesn't go into gear..forwards or backwards! Shift cable? or some...
