    1985 Mercury 25XD

    My Serial # is 0A173598. <br />In the SELOC manual for this engine, it shows the Serial numbers for the 1985 25XD as beginning with 6593849. Why is my number not in this range?<br />I notice that Merc only made the XD in 84 & 85. Has this proven to be a good model? Any known problems/weakness...
