    Old boat had crud lines on toons, spent hours removing it years ago which removed the underlying finish and crud instantly re-formed.

    1999 4 stroke alarm going off, replaced sensor, have oil pressure and flow

    OG 864486 40 2000 4stroke carbs: Alarm sounds, have over 20psi oil and if I could pee that hard I wouldn't need flo-max. Replaced sensor, alarm sounds 5 minutes after running. Alarm is only for oil/heat? Ideas?

    High rpm miss

    99 4 stroke Merc 40 3cyl carburated. 4000 rpm and above miss. Maybe every two seconds feels like a jerk. Not cavitating, just went thru the carbs for ethynol issues in the needle valves so I know its getting gas, Replaced fuel pump/filter/spark plugs. Low use pontoon engine. Seems like a bad...

    Woodruff key flywheel, generic?

    I'm waiting for a merc 91800 woodruff key. Merc dealer sez there are only two dealers in the state of Michigan which have them in stock(?) The old story: supposed to be in today, call back late tomorrow.... Searching the online parts I see "class 28" ; also see "WD 28" searching woodruff keys...

    Starter shorted out, now NO spark

    Purchased a starter from ebay seller DB Electric last year which shorted out (in the middle of the lake so I kept trying to start it (^!) frying the starter solenoid, replaced both and now have no spark. Suggestions as to what this may have blown in the ignition and where to start looking...

    Magnet chunks on the engine, ran OK in fall (small lake pontoon boat) What caused failure? Looks like three hole puller removal, I don't have impact available there. What is the torque on the shaft? How do I lock the shaft to torque? Any advice appreciated, know a whole lot more about 60's...
