    1980 Johnson 35hp elect start, elect choke, remote steering will not start.

    MAR 25, 2004<br /><br />Have a 1980 Johnson 35hp that will not start. New rebuilt starter. Turns strong. It will fire one time right at starter engagment, but then nothing. Any idea what to check first and how? Thanks!
