what is the small round rubber plug on the front of the control box for my old mercury 500 50hp control box? looks like a 3-prong electrical receptacle.
i've got a 1976 mercury 50 hp 3 cyl that starts just fine, but it won't switch off !
any ideas on trouble shooting? i've got the control box dismantled, but don't know wiring colors.
