    antisiphon valve

    Why would a boat repair shop remove the antisiphon valve on the gas tank of my boat and replace it with a simple hose barb? A brass one at that. Regards, old jim

    Splassh day

    Put my boat in the water Saturday. A real blue bird day. Abouy 80 deg. light wind. However about 2 weeks later than antisipated, weather turned crappy again today. However caught 8 kokes between the 2 of us. So thats my story for now. Regards, old jim

    motor oil

    My 2003 40 horse 4 stroke EFI OB has as it's top API oil rating as SF. I beleive the current API top rating is SN. Can I use this oil in my OB?? Thanks, old jim

    Splash Day

    Put my toon in the lake today. Whiskey Town Lake that is, what a beautiful day light breeze, maybe 80 degrees. Splash day was April 15 but the wind has blown continuosly all month. Slip is a little farther out on the docks but ok with me. Regards, old jim

    Primer Bulb

    Just replaced the fuel line om my 03 40horse 4cilinder 4 stroke EFI did I mention Mercury outboard. So the primer bulb did not get hard after considerable pumping, but there was fuel in the line and the motor ran fine with the muffs on. Am I missing something? This is my first 4 stroke. Thanks...
