    Oil and Fuel on driveshaft

    I just pulled the lu off my 88 xr2 150 for annual maint. and found it covered with any oil film, which is smelly of fuel. It runs from the splines all the way down. All I can figure is lower crankcase seal. Am I corrrect?

    Tach reading high

    I have an 88 XR2 150, just started it on muffs, first run since last summer. At idle my tach is reading 3000 rpms. The only thing I have done is remove my oil injection and the lubalert module. Any suggestions on where to look first. Or just possibly a bad tach.....
