    1975 Mercury 7.5 slight cough at idle

    Please Help I have a 1975 Mercury 7.5 that has been sitting for about 4 years. I went over the engine, ie new carb kit, water pump, plugs and fuel pump. Engine starts and runs up ok, but at idle it has a random miss, almost like a cough thing. Tried everything to get it out but still no luck...

    9.5 Sportwin Starting problems> Help Pleez!

    Gentlemen, I recently received a 1964 evinrude sportwin 9.5 outboard engine. I was told it was in running condition last year. When I tried starting it recently, it would fire up for a few seconds and then stop. I checked all the fuel lines for tight fit and the fuel pump seems to be working...
