    First Bass boat purchase

    I can get a 17' 1986 Ranger W/O Motor and with custom trailer for $350. The guy took the motor off of this boat and put it on a much newer boat.     Fiberglass cooties?

    I have a cousin that is trying as hard as he can to talk me out of buying a Ranger bass boat as he says any fiberglass boat that isn't fairly new will likely have stress cracks. What's up with this? I've seen some pretty old fiberglass boats without cracks. ?????
