    Rev Limiter

    Can a rev limiter cause the a voltage drop, enough where it will not let it start, or show any spark on the plugs? I have replaced the trigger, stator and the regulator, only thing left is the switch box and coils. Any ideas??? ssdavis70

    rectifier testing

    On my 95 Mercury 125, I replaced the stator, and when you ohm it out, it puts out around 120 cranking, but as soon as you you put the two stator wires back on the power pack, it only shows 25 on the DVA meter. Could it be the regulator is not working properly? And is there a way to test it...

    stator testing

    I have a Mercury 125, not sure what year it is, think it may be a 2000 model(OG283760) need to know how do I test it to see if it is putting out what it is suppose to put out, there is a red w/white stripe, blue w/white stripe, red and blue, and two yellows. Which ones do I test?

    serial numbers?

    I have a 125 Mercury, and Im not sure what year it is, I thought it was a 2003, but now Im thinking that it may be a 2000 model cause the wiring diagram in the 01 thru 05 manual does not mach that wires that come from the stator, serial number 0G283760. Any clue to what year it could be? ssdavis70
