    I am cleaning a carb and noticed the float is not adjusted per manual. With the float chamber inverted the float is way beyond flush with the gasket surface. How is the adjustment made to set the float to the proper height? What would result if the float is not set to the proper height?

    Any one ever bench tested an OMC tach. How do I simulate output of motor ie pulse height and frequency. Does 1000 HZ equate to 1000RPM?

    1994 200 HP Johnson Stalls above 1000RPM

    Thanks in advance for any advise, as always much appreciated.<br /><br />Motors ran OK offshore all day until..<br /><br />Port engine stalled on ride in. The motor would start and idle OK. It would fast idle Ok. It stalled when I engaged forward and exceeded 1000 RPM. No overheating was evident.

    Regulator output starts out at 14V but drops to 12.7V after warm up. This occured after I replaced a battery with an internal short, 10V open circuit voltage. Should I replace more than the regulator? How much $ can I expect to pay for a new regulator?
