    I have a 1985 3.7 mercruiser, alpha one. I am trying to put the outdrive back on after bellows replacement and it goes in up to the last 1/8th inch from the bellhousing. I read somewhere about this and cannot remember what to do. Any help?

    470 alternator swap

    I am doing the alternator swap in my 1985 Century cuddy cabin and I cannot find anything about where to hook the wires up. What is the sensing wire for? I think I can hook the wire from the alternator to the back of the starter rather than the battery? Any help would be appreciated.
