    Shift Rod adjustment

    Had the LU off to replace the Water pump, the shift rod got screw with and need to measure. My CD manual states that the rod from the LU case should be 21.84" which I can do. However, it fails to tell me what gear it should be in when this measurement is taken, I assume Neutral. Is this correct?
