    Replaced upper water tube grommet . No restrictions noted. I took off the shift rod plate and water started flowing from exhaust, pisser and through the shift Rod hole. If I replace the plate no water flows. What next?

    A heated ultrasonic cleaner has been used to clean this carburetor and it is much better now. It will not give the burst of a two-stroke but that may be the nature of a four stroke. Any insight on a carbureted four stroke would be greatly appreciated.Runs great except for a fast hole shot.

    My guess is the tilt cylinder is bad since the fluid pump is out of the top of the cylinder. On this particular model it is tilt only and no trim. It will not trim while under power.

    They were disassembled and placed in a cleaning solution for 30 min. All openings blown through with compressed air and a small tip cleaner run the openings and then rinsed .

    Starter motor turns when the up switch on the trim is engaged

    Problem solved. Moved black wire to ground and all issues went away.
