    Are Shear Pins Supposed To Be Loose

    I was always under the impression that shear pins need to be driven in. I replaced one today and it just slid in the hole in the prop shaft. It is a 3/16 pin. It goes on a 77 25hp evinrude. I compared it to the old one and the diameter seems to be the same. Thanks in advance!

    Un-winterized motor

    I just bought a 14' Starcraft with a 1977 Evinrude 25hp motor model 25752. The guy I bought it from did not winterize it. When I asked him about winterizing it he just said he drained the gas. What should I do before starting it this spring? From reading on these forums I am guessing I need...
