    Fuel Sending Unit

Are the reed switch fuel sending units a replacement for the electric swing arm types? Do they work with standard 12V gauges? Same wiring diagram? It may not matter, but this is for a galvanized steel fuel tank in a 1962 Century Coronado with a 12-volt system. Thanks, Jack

Merc 330 No Fuel to Carb

OK, you guys have been quite helpful on this engine in other posts (see below), and I've been really slow in attending to it, but I'm back on task. So, this engine hasn't been run in several years and appears to have very few hours on it, none in the water. I had some other issues with it...

    Water in bell housing

OK, we're talking about a brand new 1980 Mercruiser 330 that's been in a '62 Century Coronado that I don't think has been in the water since it had this engine put in it. Anyway, you may remember from other posts that I was having problems getting it un-stuck. Well, in the process of solving...

    Un-Stuck Mercruiser 330

Hey, a while back, a number of you guys gave me some great advice on getting my Mercruiser 330 unstuck. Here's the thread: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=267296. It turns out that the less aggressive methods, spraying PB Blaster through the spark plug ports and adding about a 1/2...

    Stuck Mercruiser 330

Hey Guys, this is a follow up to a post from a few weeks back (http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=258271). I'm beginning to fear that some of your fears were well-founded. So, I've got a "new" 1980 Mercruiser 330. It appears to have few, if any, hours on it. On you guys' advice, I've...

    Re-Commissioning "New" 1980 Merc 330

Hey, I just bought a '62 Century Coronado with what appears to be a brand-new 1980 Mercruiser MIE 330HP/454 CID (ser# 5369405) installed in it. It also has a Velvet Drive Model 10-18-002 transmission (ser # 1786). And it has no battery. The story is that the previous owner pulled it out of...

    Starting old engine

I've just bought a Fageol 44 VIP for my '57 Century Colt which is the original engine for that boat. I'm guessing that it's about 45-50 years old. It's never been installed in a boat, never had fluids put in it, and never run since it was assembled. <br /><br />Everything appears to be in good...
