    Will a Mercruiser 260 fit?

    I have a 1985 thompson bowrider 18'-4" it had a mercruiser 470 in it. I have found a good deal on a Mercruiser 260 v-8 do you think it will fit? I dont have motor dimmensions. I know I will have to change the gearing I can get the upper unit with the engine. Thanks, Blake
