My 1995 Johnson 200HP (J200TXEOC) gives me the intermittend beep (1sec on, 1 sec off), but only after idling for a few minutes and while idling. Once the RPM is above 2200 or after I shut off the engine for a few seconds, the alarm stops.
As I had mistaken this alarm for something else first...
