Have a 1998 115 Mariner and the serial number tag on the transom bracket is totally unreadable. Is there a location on the block where it can be found?
I've been looking and can find nothing except a paper tag on the port side of the block with a block #/type and even that is barely readable...
Does anyone know if late 90's Mercury controls can be swapped with current Yamaha controls?
I have the chance to pick up a single binnacle Yamaha control for next to nothing but am not sure if the control cables are the same.
