    Skipping/dead cylinder...why the fouled plugs?

    What year is this?

    I have a Mercury Mariner 2 cylinder 15hp outboard that was just given to me. The serial number is 684CL311423. Any idea what year it is? I pulled the carb to check the float and now I need a carb kit. Thanks for your help.
