Since I have reached the age where “died unexpectedly” will probably not be in my obituary I have been thinking what it should look like. I used to live on the edge of a college town and most of the men’s pictures with their obituaries were done by photo studios or they were in a suit and tie...

The local newspaper I subscribe to is the Lock Haven Express known just as "THE EXPRESS." Drove down the lane this afternoon to the mail box and got my mail. Gave my wife the first section and took the back section to do the crossword puzzles. We switched sections and I scanned the first...

Engine Suddenly revved and speed dropped, then recovered

Putting the cable in compression rather than tension might cause it to look like that. If something banged against the end. A real mystery to me as to why it happened.

I had a Pontiac Tempest wagon back in the '60s with a transaxle, never any handling problems. The extra weight on the rears helped in the winter too.

    Port, not larboard.

In 1846, Navy Secretary George Bancroft issued a General Order stating that “port” would replace “larboard” as a reference to a vessel’s left-hand side, preventing confusion with the similar sounding “starboard”

Be glad you didn't come. Final crowd number was three quarters of a home football game but traffic control was less than a women's basketball game. Traffic was at a standstill all over town. ICE protesters talked early in the week to have demonstrations and block traffic. They didn't have to...

Penn State/Michigan Hockey on the TV now. 70,000 tickets sold, tailgating began this morning at 7 am. Outside temp was 7F. As someone who was a season ticket holder for PSU hockey for many years in the past I would love to be there but my wife said no way.
