    stuck fuel pump. 60 horse four stroke mercury

    The electric fuel pump (lift pump) is stuck. I have it out of the vapor tank and would like to salvage it if possible. I have put penetrating oil in the inlet and discharge ports. Is there anything else I can do except be patient and let it soak?

    I just installed a new water pump on my 1999 Johnson 50 horse. I have the water hose connected but the motor does not pee at slow RPM's. It does pee at 2500 RPM or so.     VRO REPLACE WITH SINGLE FUNCTION PUMP

    I want to replace the VRO system on my 1999 J50PLEE Johnson with a plain, single function fuel pump. I am told by Master Tech Marine that their PN 8556 is a direct replacement pump. After removing the VRO pump the 8556 simply bolts in place, possibly even using the existing hoses. True?
