    98 merc 150 efi oil issue

    I changed the check valve as advised here and it did improve from a pulsing squirt from the fitting to a slow steady drip at idle. should the fitting be changed or???....

    boat runs great except last time out noticed oil dripping into my boat when i trimmed motor up. removed cover, lowered engine back down and started, found brass fitting that sits in-between incoming oil hose from boat tank to internal reservoir on top was gently squirting oil out in tiny bursts...

    merc 150 efi oil container on motor

    this container keeps getting low causing me to fill it to make beeping stop. my motor is a 1998 model with a 3 gallon tank on boat. is it possible for the oil to sludge in the 3 gallon container causing a blockage. Or is it more likely that the check valve is bad by tank in motor. how can I...
