    Ok, Ridger that. I do see the shift assist. I understand it drops RPMs some to shift more smoothly. My impeller kit is in, today. Will tackle that soon. Thanks for input!

    87 black max overheating issues

    If anyone can help, I got a this motor from a good buddy but now he died. It overheats at wot, i replaced poppet valve and impellor kit. It seems to overheat sooner afte valve so i took some shim out(teflon washer) to make it open sooner, didn;t matter, it still heats quicker then the old one...
