    1996 evinrude 40 model e40reds I found the mounting bracket for the steering does anyone know all the parts needed to do the conversion? Anyone know if a handle from say a 6 or 9.9 would work in the bracket after installing the appropriate cable? Thanks

    Take a look at the pointer on my cdi box vs throttle position. I can't find any info on what mark it is supposed to point to when.

    Nevermind. Upon closer examination grommet is good to go. Nice tight fit to the water tube. Hoping it was just a junk pump. If this doesn't get the water flowing out the telltale i am not sure what else to do. Lower unit housing under the water pump is mint with zero corrosion or pitting so...

    This kit seemed especially cheap. The housing was 3d printed. Anyway I ordered an oem kit and will inspect the upper copper tube grommet when I am in there. Was run on muffs as I have done with countless other motors without issue

    1993 ev 25. Fought that god forsaken front stud but finally got the unit removed. I must have stripped the threads on the stud. The nut won't tighten. Anyone ever successfully removed that stud? Any other options for me here? Thanks
