    1981 evinrude 35 starter not engaging fly wheel

    Every time I try to start the motor the starter just spins and will not engage the fly wheel. Has never done this before, but has been sitting for a while. I am using a 10amp battery charger/engine starter to start the motor. Any advice or help very much appreciated.

    1970s Evinrude 4hp, wont run consistantly

    The engine will fire if I put gas in the cylinders and on the spark plugs, but it wont keep it up, the gas tank and bubble are fine and working, I can hear the gas going into the carb, but I just cant keep it going, runs for about 10 seconds. What could the problem be?
