    1987 120 Evinrude, tach quit working

    I have searched the threads on this and have followed the instructions with no fix. Not only does the tach not work, the needle wrapped around backwards to the 5k mark. I have replaced the tach, same problem. Replaced the rectifier this weekend, still does not work. What else could it be? :mad:

    87 120 V4 Runs Rough

    I am a newbie but have been searching the forum for a similar problem with no luck. My problem is that the engine shakes my boat like crazy between 1200 and 2500 rpm. It idles great, starts easy, and runs smooth as silk above 2500 rpm. The plugs are new, carbs rebuilt within the last 18 months...
