I'm not to familiar with boat motors but is the (prop pin)- (thrust pin)-(shear pin) the one that breaks if you hit a log or something, cause that sucker costs about $30. Is there a jury rig fix thats not expensive?
I just found out that I got spark on my plugs now and I tried a little squirt of carb cleaner down its throat but still wont fire up. Any suggestions where I can start troubleshooting this thing?
I have an older timing light that doesnt have the iductive pick up connector, just a metal clip. Do I just hook it directly to the bare coil wire itself instead of around the rubber part or directly on the spark plug connection? Thanks:confused:
I got 4 tiny plug cups with the kit but on the carb float bowl the plug has a tiny little hole in it that looks like it was made that way, but in the kit all the plugs are solid. Does the one with the hole have something to do with the air mixture? and should I just leave it alone? I can't find...
I got a Force 50 engine (1994) and it's only been used a couple of times and has been setting unused for about 5 years. I want to get it going but what precautions and maintenance should I do before I try and start it? Thanks.
