    Freeze Protection

    Here in Abilene we may have a few days of 20 degrees and then it gets back up into the 80s. Naturally I like to use the boat and feed the fish. Can I put a 100? watt bulb under the engine sump in the engine enclosure to prevent freezing??? <br /><br />Mike

    When I put this basket case back together I didn't have a rubber flexible exhaust tube so I just went ahead.     Steering at no-wake speed

    Do all stern drives steer as bad as mine at no-wake speed? I guess because they don't have a rudder per se they have little steering control. Or am I missing something???     Removing OMC sterndive for lube job

    My manual suggests removing the sterndrive to lubricate the gimbal housing bearing and the universal joints. It looks straight forward, has anyone ever done this and are there any tips out there????? TIA<br /><br />Mike

    OMC Upper Drive Assembly

    I'm in the process of buying a '93 Bowrider with a 4.3 Litre OMC. During the demo cruise the upper drive gears decided to disintegrate. Seems the current owner didn't refill gearcase correctly. Rebuilds seem to cost about $1400.00 -+ is it possible to just buy the parts and replace them? Or...
