Have been looking for awhile now to try and track down a new carb float for my '61 18 horse but all the rebuild kits I have been able to find do not come with a float and does not even list a part number if you wanted to buy one by itself. Can anybody give me the part number or where to find one...
Looked at a similar thread but I'm not sure if it answered my problem. I just rebuilt and cleaned the carb and thought I did a good job but I cannot find a setting on my high or low speed jet. At idle it kicks and sputters and then i try and give it more gas and I drop RPM's. I started at 1 turn...
I have a 1957 18 horse that the powerhead is locked up on and I just picked up a 1961 18 horse that has a good powerhead and runs but has no reverse it is stuck in forward. How interchangable are the parts on these two models?
I'm trying to track down a rebuild kit or just where the best place to get any parts for this motor is. I just picked it up today and ready to re-build it.
