    I have a newly rebuilt 3.0L engine, and it is time to change the oil after the initial break-in. I bought one of the little pumps at Cabela's to change the oil, but I cannot make the little plastic hose go down the dipstick tube. Anybody know a trick to get this done? Thanks

    I have a '98 3.0L Mercruiser with the 2 bbl Mercarb. When the engine is warm and I shut it off, if I turn it over again immediately, it starts right up. If I wait a few seconds, I have to pump the throttle to get it to start. I would appreciate any insight you may have.

    I have a '98 3.0L. According to the shop that rebuilt it, setting timing on the thing is not straightforward. I put a timing light on it, and I could not see the timing mark at all, which seems to support what he said. I would appreciate any insight into how I can do this. - Thanks
