i have 1988 mercruiser 3.0 with alpha one i did the complete engine rebuild replaced the carb but its not running right i think it is out of time i do not have the manual for this year and not sure where the timing is suposed to be can anyone help please it would be greatfully appreciated

Force 120hp l-drive. went out last night started ran everething fine went to stop lowered throtle almost in neutral engine shut off went to start nothing has fuel turns over (doesn't start) changed spark plugs checked each coil none of them has a spark so am guessing its electrical...
