    81 Johnson 155 laking power

    I need to replace two pistons. Can I do that with the power head on the lower unit or do i have to remove ro a complete case split. I have orderd a manual but I havent gotten it yet. I was just wondering I figure it would be easier to but less manual work installed. thanks for any help.

    Carbon or Not

    I have a Johnson 115hp. I compression tested two cylinders on the port side were at 100psi, the star side bottom is 70psi and the top is 40 psi. Runs rough at idle but will wot at 5000 rpms.

    motor change

    I currently have a 1978 Johnson 115hp, it has two cylinders that are low in compression. I have found a 1978 Johnson 140 hp power head that is good. I was wondering just how much of the parts would inter change. My biggest concern is are the carbs gona work. Any answers would help. Thanks.
