    How do you remove a Johnson colt prop?

    I have a 1971 johnson Colt 2hp engine. I need to remove the prop, but it's not coming off like I would expect. All i see holding it on is a cotter pin. I removed that, but the prop does not slide off. I whacked it a few times with a rubber mallet to no avail. Can anyone tell me what i need...

    Johnson Colt. Where is the Model number?

    I just got a Johnson Colt. It needs some work on it, but i haven't found any model number or serial number on it. It does say "Mate" on the front of the engine and on the fuel tank, if that provides a clue. How do I determine the age? Thanks Mikde
